The Socially Responsible Modeling, Computation, and Design (SoReMo) initiative is a dynamic translational research incubator dedicated to bridging the gap between rigorous STEM theory and measurable societal impact. Designed as a formalized mechanism for executing high-level Broader Impacts, SoReMo transforms abstract technical frameworks into tangible, policy-impacting deliverables. Operating as an interdisciplinary lab, we secure seed funding and actively manage a robust portfolio of over 50 translational research projects. By uniting applied mathematics, data science, and computational modeling with context-aware design, SoReMo ensures that advanced scientific research is actively deployed to solve real-world problems, inform public policy, and build community resilience
